All atoms in the universe

Posted by Sabura on March 16, 2013

“The atoms of our bodies are traceable to stars that manufactured them in their cores and exploded these enriched ingredients across our galaxy, billions of years ago. For this reason, we are biologically connected to every other living thing in the world. We are chemically connected to all molecules on Earth. And we are atomically connected to all atoms in the universe. We are not figuratively, but literally stardust.”

  1. Tyson has to be the coolest astrophysicist of all time. Death by Black Hole is tied as my favorite book about physics along with Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku.

I have a major crush on NdT’s frontal lobe.

Hah, I just checked my Amazon Wish List to see which Michio Kaku book I’d placed there some time ago, and it’s Parallel Worlds. I do already own Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe that I will surely tackle one of these days too, if I can ever drag myself away from this computer for more non-Internet reading again.
